Dream. Hope. Passion.
This is my Dream. My Hope. My Passion.
That you understand that He has ransomed your heart…redeemed your life from the pit…that you then walk with a humble, yet holy swagger…living an abundant life adventure He has called you to.
That is my story.
Abundant Life Adventures
I don’t know what it looks like. But I do know that this is my life’s mission statement…
What I Live For:
To be a fun-loving catalyst for growth in people’s lives, teaching them about their Redeemer, and coaching them to live the New Creation, Abundant Adventure Life we are called to.
Who I’m passionate about:
College Students- You are World Changers! The decisions you make today can set the trajectory for the rest of your life! It is my prayer that you don’t waste your life…or put it off till after college.
Young Leaders- Whether you’re a teacher, a coach, or in ministry…you give and give. However, you cannot lead where you haven’t been. You cannot give what you don’t yet possess. How will you feed others if you aren’t feeding yourself? I pray you construct your life in such a way that is life-giving, bubbling over, and serve out of your over-flow rather than your reserve.
Athletes and Coaches- Likewise, you give and give. And typically people just want stuff out of you. They want you to perform. You’re amazing, but you’re human too. You have a platform…an influence…and to whom much is given, much is required. I pray that you understand the giftings and the limitations you have, letting your Creator define your identity, knowing the role He’s given you, and taking care of yourself so that you will not be disqualified.
Survivors- Countless young women have crossed my path who’s stories include sexual abuse and/or other relational issues. I pray you hear Truth over the din of lies. That you hear the voice of Your Redeemer who endured pain, shame, betrayal, and fear beyond what we can fathom, as He says, “I know”.
How???
For now, I’m pursuing a Master’s of Divinity and doing the “kick-est butt job” I can where I’m at! My favorite is 1-on-1 with coffee, running, or frisbees being involved! My second fave is getting to speak. And all of that is made even better when it can be done athletically, creatively, actively or outside in creation!
Fellowship of Christian Athletes
The Fellowship of Christian Athlete’s vision is to see the world impacted for Jesus Christ through the influence of Coaches and Athletes. I had the privilege of working for this great ministry for 3 years, serving specifically at Auburn University, Clemson University, and San Jose State University, as well as various other colleges and high schools. After a brief hiatus, I am returning to staff to serve at Georgia Tech!
I am passionate about the work of FCA because it combines two of the greatest forces for influence ever: sports and faith in Jesus Christ. The biggest faith and life lessons I ever learned were on the playing field or in the context of competition. Likewise, I don’t believe I will EVER fully comprehend the influence I had as a coach. To get to serve FCA is a humbling and overwhelming undertaking when you start to consider the ramifications. I love the commercials that talk about NCAA athletes that about all go pro in something other than sports. During their eligibility, student-athletes have a tremendous platform from which to live out the Christian walk and even proclaim it in words. Afterwards, they go on to live lives of influence, some of them even as professional athletes. I cannot even imagine the ripple effect sent off by one student-athlete sold out for Christ in high school, college, and afterwards. We need men and women of integrity who can stand up and be role models for our youth. We get the outrageous opportunity to pour into these young peoples’ lives and train them up to fulfill their God-given mission. Check www.fca.org for more info and to get involved! Support my work with FCA financially at this website.
